What is your role in the Powers of Place Initiative?
I am co-founder of the initiative with Sheryl Erickson as well as senior advisor to the Fetzer Institute, the POPI's primary funding source. I now serve as a thinking partner and consultant.

Where do you have most passion in this endeavor?
My primary interest is in personal and social transformation and how diverse groups of people can come together and arrive at creative solutions to previously intractable problems and conflicts. With this initiative, I am interested in exploring and testing the hypothesis that the places where such transformational groups gather and the kinds of relationships that they form with those places is one of most critical and under-recognized elements to their success or failure.
